Best brake pads for a Jeep Wrangler that sees sand and street?

So I’ve got a 2019 Wrangler Sahara that I daily drive around Dubai but also take out to the desert every other weekend for some dune bashing. My current pads are squealing like crazy after the last Liwa trip and I’m pretty sure the fine sand has wrecked them. I’ve been looking at Jeep Brake Pad Replacement Dubai options online and saw a few shops that claim to understand the difference between pads meant for highway use versus off-road abuse. The thing is, I don’t want super aggressive pads that’ll eat my rotors on the road, but I also need something that won’t fade after a few steep descents in the sand. Anyone here running a Wrangler on ceramic pads? Or should I stick with semi metallic even though they dust more? Also curious if anyone has tried those drilled and slotted rotor combos or if that’s overkill for mostly sand driving. Let me know what’s worked for you.

Sand getting into brake pads and causing squealing after a desert trip is almost guaranteed without proper cleaning. A good rinse and inspection after every Liwa run extends pad life significantly.

Semi metallic is the better choice for a dual purpose Wrangler. Ceramics are cleaner but they don't handle the heat cycles from repeated desert descents as consistently as semi metallic compounds do.

Drilled and slotted rotors help clear debris and heat on a Wrangler that sees real off-road use. Not overkill at all for sand driving, the slots help eject fine particles that would otherwise glaze the pad surface.

Running a 2018 Wrangler on the same street and sand combination here. Settled on semi metallic pads with slotted rotors and the squealing after desert trips basically disappeared compared to the stock setup.

The key is finding a pad compound that works in both high heat desert conditions and normal street braking temperatures. A specialist who understands dual use Wranglers will point you toward the right compound without just selling you the most expensive option.
