Has anyone else tried a mobile battery service for their Mustang and been surprised how good it was?
Hi everyone, I'm writing this because I honestly didn't expect things to go as well as they did and I want to hear if other Mustang owners have had similar experiences. I have a 2019 Ford Mustang GT that I've owned for about two years and it's my pride and joy. A few days ago I went to start it and the engine cranked really slowly, like the battery was struggling. It did start but it sounded weak. The next morning the same thing happened but even slower. I knew I needed to get the battery replaced soon because I didn't want to get stranded somewhere. The problem is I work long hours and I really didn't want to waste my weekend sitting at a garage. A coworker told me about a mobile service he used for his truck and said they came to his office and did everything while he worked. I looked them up online and found their website. It said if I wanted to learn more about their Mustang services I could click here for details. I called them and the person on the phone was very knowledgeable about Mustangs specifically. He asked for my car's year and model and told me exactly which battery I would need. He also mentioned that modern Mustangs have a battery management system that needs to be reset after a new battery is installed. I had no idea about that but he explained that if you don't reset it the car might not charge the new battery correctly. I scheduled an appointment for them to come to my office the next day. The technician showed up right on time which was a great sign. He tested my old battery first and showed me that it was definitely weak and needed to be replaced. He installed the new battery in about twenty minutes and then used his laptop to reset the battery management system. He also tested my alternator to make sure it was charging properly. The whole thing took less than an hour and I didn't have to leave my desk except to hand him my keys. The price was very reasonable too, way less than what the dealership had quoted me over the phone. My car starts up instantly now like it's brand new. I'm honestly really impressed with how easy and convenient the whole process was. Has anyone else here used a mobile service for their Mustang or other performance car and had a similarly good experience? I'd love to hear your stories and any tips you have for keeping the battery healthy in this heat. Thanks so much everyone.
